Denture Impression Mould

Most dentists believe the best teeth are your own teeth, and there are many dental procedures we may recommend to make sure you keep your teeth and gums healthy for a lifetime. These procedures focus on prevention – to keep your teeth and gums as healthy as they are now.

Some dental procedures include:

Examination and cleaning by registered hygienists

Taking proper care of your teeth and gums is a lifelong commitment. It includes a good oral hygiene routine that you follow at home, as well as regular visits to your dentist and an overall “team” approach to your oral care. By taking these simple steps, there’s every reason why you should keep your “oral health – good for life.”

White Composite fillings

We stay up to date with the latest technologies and use the most proven dental material and techniques.

Crowns (porcelain, gold, ceramic)

If your tooth is damaged but not lost, a crown (also called a cap) can be used to cover the damaged part of your tooth. A crown protects your tooth from further damage.

Bridges & Dentures

Bridges and dentures are 2 ways to restore a badly damaged tooth or replace a lost tooth.

Cosmetic dentistry (tooth whitening, veneers, composite bonding)

Bonding and veneers make your teeth look better by changing their colour, shape or spacing.

Dentures – complete and partial

Root canal treatment

Root canal treatment is the process of removing the infected, injured or dead pulp from a tooth.

Extractions and oral surgery

Extractions, or the removal of a tooth, is performed for a wide variety of reasons. At Sutherland Dental we offer wisdom tooth removal as well as any tooth removal if determined to be a necessary procedure. Every attempt is made to keep the patient comfortable before and after the procedure.

Full Face Orthodontics (appliances and/or braces) and non-surgical overbit correction

Orthodontic treatment uses braces or other appliances to put gentle pressure on your teeth and eventually move them into the right position. They can either be fixed or removable.

Nitrous oxide (laughing gas)

Commonly known as “laughing gas”- this is a safe and effective gas that is inhaled through a small mask that fits over the nose. It is not intended to make you sleep, but to help you feel calmer and more relaxed during the procedure.

TMJ treatment

Tooth Whitening

Although teeth are not naturally meant to be completely white, many Canadians want a brighter smile. Responding to this desire, a wide range of “whitening” options has become available to consumers.

Invisalign is a modern approach to straightening teeth. The treatment uses a custom-made series of aligners created for each individual.
