At Sutherland Dental Group, the technology we use helps us provide patients with efficient dental care including dental lasers, digital x-rays and intraoral scanners.
Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At Sutherland Dental Group, we use technology to help plan effective treatments and ensure your dental appointments run smoothly. We can display digital x-rays and scans in the monitors in our treatment rooms, which allows us to easily show you any emerging issues in your mouth and clearly explain your treatment plan.
We're on a mission to provide patients with efficient dental care, and to keep them fully informed about their oral health. Dental technology helps us accomplish this goal.
Digital X-Rays
Instead of traditional photographic x-ray film, digital x-rays use digital sensors to bring us highly detailed computer images of your teeth and gums, in addition to other oral structures and conditions. This allows your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that are not visible at a glance.
Panoramic X-Rays
With panoramic x-rays, a single flat image of your entire mouth reveals your teeth, upper and lower jaws, nasal and sinus structures, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ). These x-rays are typically used to help plan treatments for implants, extractions, braces and dentures.
Dental Lasers
Lasers are extremely focused light beams that can be used in a number of soft and hard tissue procedures. They allow our dentists to complete dental procedures with less pain and fewer medical interventions for the patient. At Sutherland Dental Group, our dentists use lasers to reshape the gums, remove decayed or overgrown tissue, to whiten teeth and to harden dental restorations quickly.
iTero Intraoral Scanner
The iTero® intraoral scanner allows us to capture highly accurate 3D impressions of your bite and plan your dental treatment in real-time. The device allows your dentist to gather highly accurate data, then create digital replicas of the tissues in your mouth. We can also store data digitally and create Invisalign clear aligners.
